ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a contemporary artist. My work consists of creating mixed media outcomes on a large scale. To create my large-scale artworks, I employ a combination of techniques such as acrylic pouring, spray painting, and collage. This allows me to create textured, colourful, and layered art resulting in visually captivating and dynamic pieces that engage the viewer on both an emotional and sensory level.

ART & DESIGN
My main interest in college was clay and printmaking. I spent a lot of time creating 3D sculptures out of clay in the ceramics workshop. During this time, I also learned how to create distinct patterns using mono-printing and screen printing. After this, I learned to combine the skills I learned from ceramics with the skills I learned from printmaking. The outcomes I created were similar to the ones created in printmaking. However, these are patterns done in clay that have been moulded, fired, glossed, and fired again.

BA FINE ART
During my first year at university, I continued to be creative by pursuing ceramics and print-making workshops, which then led to me creating collages in my printmaking workshops. Most of my creations are based on images that are layered with different colour inks on top of one another to create one big artwork using a variety of colours.

BA FINE ART
During my second year at university, I was still interested in collages, but I was looking for different materials to use. Often, I made my outcomes from clay, string, paint, and fabric. My goal during my second year was to use the skills I have developed over the years doing art to create medium-size mixed media outcomes. My interest in this continued during my third year at university, which led me to create large abstract and graffiti-style outcomes. Several of my lined canvas outcomes feature these neon bubble-like patterns hand-painted with multiple colours. As for the wooden outcomes I've created, they are mainly patterns that I've done using the one-line method, meaning I can't stop until I have finished the section I'm working on. Both years, I had the opportunity to exhibit my artwork in public venues such as Birmingham Ragg Market. Additionally, Birmingham School of Art allows students to display their work during Night School, so you can view your colleagues' work as well as share your work with the public.
